Our annual confirmation class prepares youth (grades 6-8) to become members of the church. Taught by Pastor David Collum, the class explores important aspects of one’s faith: Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, baptism, Holy Communion, salvation, everlasting life, the history of the Christian church, and the history of the United Methodist church, to name a few. The class prepares students to answer the all important question: “Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Savior, put your whole trust in his grace, and promise to serve him as your Lord, in union with the church which Christ has opened to people of all ages, nations, and races?” At the end of the class, students have the opportunity to choose to be confirmed as full members of the church.
Re-affirm your decision to claim Jesus as Savior and Lord. Explore what it means to be a Christian and a part of the church, and grow in your relationship to God.
